Key facts
Trying to understand the idea that lives in the mind of a stakeholder, a Business Analyst can draw a diagram, mock-up or prepare a dynamic prototype.
Description
The stakeholder can see examples, provided by a Business Analyst and confirm that it is what (s)he actually has in mind. Later, Business Analyst can share this output with the technical guys for implementation. It is a great technique that helps a Business Analyst visually document and share a concept. With a prototype, we can convey our opinion on improving the product, i.e. the design of a new screen, ui component. That prototype will be clear for anyone: be it a Product Owner, Business Stakeholder, Developer etc. Unfortunately, not all Teams have a dedicated Designer. Also, a Designer might be busy, or the concept might be very small and bothering a Designer does not make sense. A Business Analyst should be able to draft a mock-up or prototype. To master this, we suggest exploring two of the following tools: Axure RP , Adobe XD , Figma. Each of them has a free trial version that is enough to get to know the instrument. You can find respective video tutorials on youtube. In case you prefer to learn by covering a structured course with the exercises and cannot find the respective materials, let us know.
